Mint Silver Bullion

2 0Z silver coin made in England?

I recently bought a coin that copy’s the image of the 1 oz silver US bullion coin. It says Liberty on top, 1988 on bottom and in God we Trust to the right. The back shows an eagle with 999 fine silver on the top, e pluribus unum to the left and 2 troy oz on the bottom. The casing with it said Made in England but mentions no mint. Anyone ever heard of this coin? i never seen it before.

First of all, it is not a coin. It is a private mint copy of, as you described it an American Eagle bullion coin. Is it marked copy any place? If made here it has to conform to the hobby protection act. Even some other countries follow this act, even though they really don’t have too. I know of no deal the U.S. mints made with Great Britain. The term England is not used very much any more. I guess it would be considered a medal, but to be a coin it has to be issued by a country with the authority to do so. Copying other countries don’t count.

US Mint Suspends Gold/Silver Orders due to lack of supply….
